Case Study
Digital fluency for leading biotech
GOAL
To create a shared team identity and establish clear, consistent ways of working that strengthen alignment, trust, and collaboration across markets.
OUTCOME
140 global leaders trained in digital fluency & AI confidence
PILLAR
Digital confidence & AI Readiness
Client Overview
A leading biotech wanted to equip its Medical Affairs leaders with the digital fluency and AI readiness required for the next phase of scientific engagement.
Challenge
While the organisation had strong scientific expertise, many Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) lacked confidence operating across digital and hybrid channels. Leadership wanted to establish a scalable model to sustain capability transfer globally.
Element Approach
Element developed the MSL of the Future Playbook, combining capability mapping, digital benchmarking, and a blended learning experience. We delivered interactive workshops, practical simulations, and hands-on digital engagement training to build confidence across virtual, hybrid, and AI-supported scientific conversations. More than 140 global medical leaders were supported through a structured, scalable programme designed to embed behaviours that last.
Outcome
The programme created a significant shift in how Medical Affairs leaders approached digital and hybrid engagement. Participants reported greater confidence using digital tools, improved fluency navigating virtual scientific conversations, and a clearer understanding of how to apply AI responsibly in their daily work.
The MSL of the Future Playbook provided a unified, scalable framework that aligned expectations across affiliates and gave leaders practical guidance they could immediately apply. As a result, hybrid engagement quality improved, digital adoption accelerated, and teams felt better prepared to meet the evolving expectations of healthcare professionals in 2025 and beyond.
